I'll have a couple of posts showing how I use it to create large scale maps of the Big Rubble.
Here's an example of the results. The 'Type' column is explained over on the Urban Ruins page.

roof. The left wall is stained with mildew. The cellar is made of packed earth and has 1 level. My own (sidelined before I quite got it started again) Runequest game happens to be headed for some city ruins, though not for an extended part of the adventure (I think). I'd already sorted out pictures for random locations, though. But I really want to find an excuse to try your generator out! Excellent work.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you. I did it mostly as an idea generator. It provides me with enough information to engage my creativity. I keep meaning to ask where you're finding all those evocative pictures you put up in your soloplay posts.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely the right amout of information to set the scene and spur ideas.
DeleteThe photographs are all ones I've taken. The old illustrations are mostly from the British Library's flickr account, though I scan some myself out of old books in my collection. I do an awul lot of photoshopping and combining images (like the broo).
